July 2003 - Richard Armitage reveals Valerie Plame's identity to columnist Robert Novak.
July 6, 2003 - Joesph Wilson publishes his criticisms of George Bush in a NY Times editorial.
July 14, 2003 - Novak rebuts Wilson and "outs" Plame (Wilson's wife) in newspaper editorial.
Sept. 26, 2003 - D.O.J. and F.B.I. begin investigation.
Oct. 1, 2003 - Armitage tells F.B.I. that he was the source of the Plame "leak"
Dec. 30, 2003 - Special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald appointed. Learns that Armitage was the source of the "leak"
Mar. 5, 2004 - Libby testifies before grand jury.
Mar. 24, 2004 - Libby testifies again before grand jury.
Oct. 28, 2005 - Libby indicted. Resigns.
Nov. 3, 2005 - Libby pleads not guilty.
Nov. 14, 2005 - Bob Woodward of the Washington Post tells grand jury Libby was not source of leak.
Aug. 29, 2006 - NY Times reports Armitage was the source of the "leak."
Jan. 16, 2007 - Trial begins.
Feb. 12, 2007 - Journalists testify they they heard of Plame from others (not Libby).
Feb. 21, 2007 - Jury begins deliberation.
Feb. 26, 2007 - A juror is dismissed.
March 6, 2007 - Jury convicts Libby on four (of five) counts.
June 5, 2007 - Libby sentenced to 30 months in prison, $250,000 in fines and 2 years of probation
June 14, 2007 - Libby denied bail.
June 19, 2007 - Libby files appeal.
July 2, 2007 - Libby's appeal of bail decision is denied.
July 2, 2007 - Bush commutes (erases) Libby's 30-month prison sentence.
July 5, 2007 - Libby pays $250,000 fine.
Dec. 10, 2007 - Libby drops appeal.
