Huffington Post Compares Black to Libby Too

Conrad Black will be sentenced Monday. Prosecutors have been calling for a sentence of between 20 and 30 years. Black's legal team argues it should be closer to two years. A pre-sentence report prepared by the U.S. Probation Office calls for less than 10 years. But let's not forget the Huffington Posts' call for his commutation - or a sarcastic attempt at "the Libby motion" (story here). Says Black in a recent e-mail to the Globe and Mail: “I still expect justice to prevail, given that we pitched three quarters of the charges and the remaining counts are nonsense and will be appealed."

UPDATE: Black was given a prison sentence of six and one half years.
