Post: Libby "Pardoned"

In its traditional effort of clouding the American mind re the pardon power and setting everyone up for the next great "pardon controversy," today's Washington Post - while discussing the indictment of the ever-lovable Barry Bonds - tells us Scooter Libby was "pardoned" (story here). See my commentary on this classic blunder (and its impact) here. Granted, saying Libby was "pardoned" is much more catchy than saying "part of his sentence was commuted." And, it is all about selling papers. But, what a price there is to pay!
