Presidential hopeful Barack Obama is emphatic. He will put an end to "the era of Scooter Libby justice" (story here). The only era I can think of that would have been before the Scooter Libby era would be the Marc Rich era - where pardons are available for 1) party members 2) party donors 3) relatives of the president and 4) those who can channel money into the hands of presidential in-laws. And just where are the polls measuring to what extent Americans are pining for the return to those "good old days?"
